We purchased 3 of these fans and all 3 arrived in their stock boxes with no padding or shipping wrap. All 3 fans were dented so badly from improper packing that they arrived inoperable. In addition, the quality of the fans is very poor compared to basic models sold at Home Depot or Lowes. I would not advise buying these online but go to your local home improvement store.

The first unit came so damaged from shipping it could not be used. Amazon was great in sending a new unit at no cost to me, as well as giving me a shipping label to return the bad one. The second unit was slightly dented on the flange but easy to fix and is now installed. Since the fan is all steel with a galvanized dome, it dents very easily and needs to be packed better for shipping.

This will be my third attic fan in 4 years. I bought this brand for the PSC style motor and the limited lifetime warranty. Only time will tell if this one holds up.
