I don't know why you would want a bigger one. We have a 2400 sq ft house and it makes a nice breeze through the house. It isn't quiet, so I am glad I mounted it in the back room. I don't think any fan with this amount of power is going to be quiet though. Overall I am very satisfied with it. The install is quite involved requiring a box frame to be built in the attic and of course wiring to the 2 speed switch. I suggest using 2x8 lumber for the frame which will raise the fan up a few inches and reduce the noise. It was also positioned on top of the framing rather than between the ceiling joists so as to gain a few more inches of distance. As a result, there is no appreciable vibration transmitted to the house structure. The noise of the air movement is still appreciable, especially on HIGH. This fan really moves the hot air out of the room quickly! |
