That's right, plastic... the whole frame is plastic. Looks like metal in the pictures, doesn't it? This "heavy duty extra quiet" fan is just about all plastic and was warped on arrival. I could only imagine it would warp more in a hot attic! I contacted the vendor who un-charged my card with no fuss but strangely, did not want the fan back, just wanted to claim shipping damage... Anyone want a warped cracked plastic attic fan cheap? I bought an all-metal Dayton from Grainger to install.
